Help free Kris Maharaj

For 30 years now, Kris Maharaj has been in a Florida prison for a crime he did not commit.

Kris was sentenced to death despite at least six alibi witnesses putting him 30 miles away when the crime took place. Now, members of a Colombian drug cartel have admitted they committed the crime.

Kris has finally been granted a new hearing this Autumn, but he was bankrupted by legal fees two decades ago. We've never charged Kris a penny – his defence, like that of all of our clients, is funded by people like you.

We've spent thousands of hours and pounds fighting to free Kris, and this is our best and maybe our last chance to see him come home to his family. Can you chip in to help us cover a portion of the costs we may need to fight Kris's case?

Kris’s case is one of many injustices we are trying to set right. To make your donations go further, donations from the public will be matched pound for pound during July to double our impact. We have up to £50,000 of matched funding available to help Kris and other victims of injustice, so please donate now before matched funding runs out.
